The Inspired by Diabetes Creative Expression Competition builds on the theme of the (IDF) , dedicated to children and adolescents living with or at risk of diabetes worldwide.
We believe that the stories of how individuals and families have taken action to tackle diabetes, regardless of circumstance or where they live, can help inspire others to act &mdsh; to improve the care of people with diabetes and to help overcome the obstacles that a life with diabetes can bring.

For every contest entry, Lilly will donate money to IDF's program, which funds diabetes centers in developing countries to provide critically needed care and education to children with diabetes.

Unite for Diabetes is a global campaign committed to raising awareness of diabetes and celebrating the United Nations' World Diabetes Day Resolution, which established the global agenda for the fight against the diabetes pandemic and designated 14 November (World Diabetes Day) as an official UN world day as of 2007. World Diabetes Day was created in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the World Health Organization in response to the escalating rise in diabetes.
